The Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden has recently taken delivery of four Microtech Gefell M300 condenser microphones. The decision to buy the M300 followed extensive listening trials with the microphone.
The Gefell M300 has a 16mm evaporated gold diaphragm, with a ceramic capsule housing to ensure long-term stability and repeatability. The microphone manages to combine a high-output level with low noise, in an exceptionally small body making it an ideal choice for recording and location-sound applications in film and television production, where an unobtrusive microphone is required and sound quality is paramount.
Microtech Gefell GmbH, which celebrates its 75th jubilee this year, was founded by Georg Neumann and is a subsidiary company of Georg Neumann KG.
