This amazingly compact family of large diaphragm microphones combines Gefell’s latest sputtered gold capsule with photovoltaic decoupling technology to achieve outstandingly low self-noise (6dBA for M940; 7dBA for M930 & M950), with a remarkably wide dynamic range. As some of Gefell’s best loved FET microphones, these are much sought-after for solo voice and instrumental recordings, and are to be found at numerous broadcasting studios as presenter microphones, chosen for their natural warmth and low susceptibility to pop and proximity problems. The small physical size is a major advantage in today’s equipment-laden broadcasting studios to be able to maintain good sight-lines.

All the microphones can be suplied in matched sets for XY (with TD93 holder), ORTF (with SH93 holder), or in a 5.0 surround recording configuration (INA5).
